White street continues to have new pipes laid and connected like an erector set. Interestingly enough, there was a drill in the parking area behind Caldwell street that pulled up dirt from the screw. The dirt was manually taken into the construction area with wheelbarrows and a surveyor sited the next drilling site.
All the while the pipes were being covered with a sealant over rubber gaskets, lowered and fitted together in the trenches. Large machinery digs, covers up and gets dirt in dump trucks to haul away.
Interesting that dirt was removed and then pulled out of the parking lot using deep narrow holes to put back in the ground. Moving dirt has a whole new meaning.
